i have learnt that varroa mites get onto the back of the bees and suck out their blood but they sometimes start with the baby bees that have not hatched yet after they start to multiply.
i have also learnt that the varroa mite have originally came from asia....why did the mites come to us first instead of australia because australia is closer to them than us??
I learnt in the video that a man called Jerry is trying to stop the mites killing the bees, if the mites kill all the bees we will all starve in five years and they are trying to manage it by putting paper strips into the hives.
I learnt that the varroa mite is a pest and could kill bees and us because if they kill the bees and they become extinct- since they pollinate flowers and do other important things like that. If this happens we wouldn't be alive in 5 years.
