Idioms

Over the last two weeks we have been learning about the world of idioms!  The first two chapters of 'Barking Mad' are titled with idioms and so is the title of the book.  We thought we would search for more and learning about what they mean and when we might use them in our writing.  Have a look at this selection of idioms.

Large Ball Skills

We have been sharpening up our large ball skills!

We have been learning some new (or old) playground games.  We have been practising taking turns, speaking with kindness and having fun!

Mrs Mo's Monster and Onomatopoeia

This week we have been learning about Onomatopoeia or Noisy Words.  SM9 found the onomatopoeia in Mrs Mo's Monster and then could share lots more!  We created these for the wall.

Carmen Success!

Congratulations to all our St Pats children who are performing this week in Carmen.  You were all stunning on stage, with delightful faces and you did a fabulous job of all those super fast lyrics!  We are so proud of you Symphony!
